The 6 Series MSO, which comes in four, six, and eight-channel configurations with a sizable 15.6-inch high-definition (1,920 x 1,080) display, provides improved visibility into intricate systems. More than four analog signals must be observed in many applications, including embedded systems, three-phase power electronics, automotive electronics, power supply design, and power integrity, in order to confirm and describe device performance and troubleshoot complex system problems.
Critical Multichannel Debugging Context
The majority of engineers can remember instances where they needed more system visibility and context while debugging a particularly challenging issue, but the oscilloscope they were using only had two or four analog channels. It takes a lot of work to align the trigger points when using a second oscilloscope, and figuring out the timing correlations between the two displays is challenging. There are also documentation issues.
You might think that an oscilloscope with six or eight channels would cost 50% or 100% more than one with four channels, but you'll be pleasantly surprised to learn that the price difference between the two models is only about 25% for the six-channel model and about 67% (or less) for the eight-channel model. By allowing you to maintain the timeliness of both ongoing and upcoming projects, the extra analog channels can quickly pay for themselves.
