Schneider Electric's Easergy P5 is a withdrawable protection relay designed for severe medium voltage distribution applications. This feeder relay has a withdrawable design with a backup memory function, allowing for an industry-leading 10-minute recovery period. It supports redundant Ethernet, including IEC 61850, as well as plug-and-play communication modules that can grow with your application. Easergy P5 provides safety, security, and communication based on over a century of experience with protection relays.
The Easergy P5 protection relay can be used in any sort of MV distribution network. It can be powered by 48 to 250 VDC and 100 to 230 VAC. It is compatible with conventional CTs/VTs. There are three phase current inputs, one standard neutral current input, one sensitive neutral current input, and four voltage inputs. It provides 22 digital inputs, 14 digital outputs, and 6 arc sensors. It contains a backup memory module. Communication modules can be introduced at any point in time.
The product specifications are 180 mm in height (7.09 in), 152.4 mm in width (6.00 in), and 224 mm in depth (8.82 in), with a net weight of 3.5 kg (7.7 lb). Easergy P5 is compliant with EN 60255-26, EN 60255-27, and UL standards. It offers Marine Certification. This product can be installed flush to the panel or in the rack. Flush mounting frames ensure IP54 availability. Fixing and wiring tools are included.
Plug-and-play communication modules include Ethernet RSTP RJ45 (REL51038), Ethernet RSTP FO (REL51039), and Ethernet HSR/PRP FO. There is also a second Ethernet RSTP RJ45 (REL51042), RS485 serial RJ45 (REL51036), RS485 serial FO (REL51040), and extension/backup memory (REL51034). Available accessories consist of IP54 flush mounting frame (REL51052), eight temperature sensor modules (59641), an IRIG-B module (REL51045), arc flash sensors (from REL52801 to REL528010), and connection cables (59660, 59661, 59662).
Operation and maintenance are made safer and easier using the eSetup Easergy Pro software program, which includes virtual injection testing, and the EcoStruxure Power Device app.
