Product Description

Overview

For independent usage in hazardous environments, the Druck PV62X Series Pressure Stations have received ATEX approval. For increased efficiency, user-friendliness, and safety, these high performance pressure-generating stations can take the place of traditional hand pumps and gas bottles. They can be used as gauge comparators and pressure calibrators when paired with a reference device, such the DPI 104.

In order to provide a multi-parameter calibration system with special pressure generating and measurement capabilities, the PV 62X series of pressure stations was created to be used with the DPI 620 advanced multifunction calibrator and PM 620 interchangeable pressure modules.

PV 621: This station produces pressure with half the effort of traditional systems, featuring a traditional hand pump, volume adjuster, and pressure/vacuum selector.

PV 622: A five-fold improvement in capabilities, the 100 bar (1500 psi) pneumatic station eliminates the health and safety concerns associated with using gas bottles and regulators as a pressure source in field settings. It features a novel two-stage system that uses a screw press to increase pressure and a hand pump to create pressure.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is the difference between the PV 621, PV 622, and PV 623 pressure stations?

The main difference is the maximum pressure and media type: the PV 621 is a pneumatic station generating up to 20 bar (300 psi), the PV 622 is a pneumatic station generating up to 100 bar (1500 psi), and the PV 623 is a hydraulic station generating up to 1000 bar (15000 psi).

Are these pressure stations safe for use in hazardous areas?

Yes, the Druck PV62X Series has received ATEX approval (Equipment category group Ex II 2 G, c IIC T6 X) making them suitable for independent usage in hazardous locations.

What recommended media should be used with these stations?

The pneumatic stations (PV 621 and PV 622) use non-corrosive gases. The hydraulic station (PV 623) utilizes de-mineralized water or mineral oil (ISO viscosity grade 22).

Can these pressure stations replace traditional field equipment?

Yes, these high-performance generating stations are designed to replace traditional hand pumps and safety-hazard gas bottles, offering higher efficiency and better safety in the field.

What are the physical dimensions and weight of the PV 620 series?

All three models share the same dimensions of 450 mm x 280 mm x 235 mm. The PV 621 weighs 2.65 kg, the PV 622 weighs 3.30 kg, and the PV 623 weighs 3.75 kg.
